3rd and 4th of July

The 3rd of July

Fireworks are the main event, but there’s a lot to do and see and eat at the park before then. It starts around 5; fireworks are about 9. They are as good as almost anywhere because it’s the same group that puts them on in Barstow but since we do it the day before, we get a discount.

The 4th of July is a local parade from

The Barn to the American Legion. When the front-walkers or riders reach the corner of Newberry Road and National Trails, a local person with an excellent voice sings the National Anthem, and the parade then resumes. It’s small and quite fun.
